Ninety Plus founder Joseph Brodsky traveled to Ethiopia for the first time in 2005, where he fell in love with the people, food, culture, and the semi-forested coffee lands in Ethiopia’s southwest. Kambera derives its name from “Kampi”–the site of Kampi Cooperative, a visit to which inspired the coffee reforestation model employed at Ninety Plus–and “berry.” With a heavier mouthfeel and a chocolate and berry flavor profile, Kambera is reminiscent of cabernet sauvignon and other bold red wines.
STYLE: Thermolic™ Gesha
INSPIRATION: Dragon’s Back
CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHT: Du Jianing of China used Kambera to win the World Brewers Cup Championship in 2019.
