Developed in Shakisso, Ethiopia in 2012, Drima Zede is processed using anaerobic fermentation, and was the first coffee in the world to utilize this unique process. Anaerobic fermentation is conducted in an oxygen-free environment, altering the microbial populations to which the coffee is exposed and yielding flavors of red wine and dark chocolate.
