The Maker Series by Ninety Plus

With this, one of the most extraordinarily profound and complex coffees we have made, Ninety Plus introduces the Maker Series with a signature Taste Profile designed by our Ethiopia Processing Director, Semeon Abay.  While making Nekisse Red coffee during the current harvest, Semeon had an idea; one of the sudden twists of innovation that continues to move our Taste Profile line-up forward with the pursuit of creating something remarkable.  Semeon's special recipe (the Maker Series is comprised of tiny batches of coffee, hand-made by our international team of industry professionals, invited to pick their own coffee and to adjust our profiling parameters in pursuit of flavors previously untasted) was based on our Nekisse Red profile, but his particular twist has given flavor complexity and intensity new meaning!  
 
Rippling with cardamom, cinnamon and orange early, the profile progresses through worlds of flavor that we are only beginning to document after two Sensory Room sessions. This one is a mind-blower, a competition winner, an iconic representation of what drives us at Ninety Plus. We will try to allocate this new profile so that as many as possible have the opportunity to taste Semeon's feat of discovery. Offered at Level 95 in 5kg boxes to extraordinary roaster and barista handlers only, with love from Ethiopia and Semeon Abay, one of our longest Ninety Plus veterans, with us since pre-inception. Can't wait to get back to the table to taste the rest of Semeon's 2014 work!
